and were can i find one for under 200.00
Pads yes, mattresses I don't think so. You can get a 2" pad for under $200 at places like Sam's Club, BJ's, Costco, and your higher-end department stores. I've even seen them at Target….

black futon
Hello- I just moved into my apt and I'm a BROKE student.
I have white walls (which I can't paint), and tan carpet. I have a big black futon with wood frames. I also have a matching wood coffee table. I have deep red throw pillows on the futon.
I want to get little accessories like candles, cushions, a vase, and little things here and there to add some life to the room…but I don't know what color to choose!!
I was thinking of a gold or bronze-ish accent color?
What do you think goes well with black and deep red, and wood?
As far as the broke part, try these:
www.freecycle.com
www.craigslist.com (look for moving sales)
And try to hit any yard sales you see. If you have a Wal-Mart, check out the sewing section. They have bins of clearanced ribbons and materials. You can get some pretty gold ribbon to accent a plain candle you might find, etc.
I think your idea of gold or bronze-ish is excellent. Given the colors of the walls and carpet, it's probably the best way to go.

sofa futon
I want a new temporary (1-2years) bed and was wondering if a futon would be a good idea or do they wear down easily? bad for you back???
He, as the person stated before me, if you get a cheap futon and a cheap matrress, yes, it will be uncomfortable since they are usually held up with a metal bar frame under the mattress. HOWEVER, if you get one that is supported by a wooden frame, then you wont have that issue. I might suggest IKEA, they have great frames and nice mattessses that will NOT cost you a fortune.
I've included a link to the IKEA website that might help you out….

futons
What about the hallways of malls, I've seen them there, not the cheapest futons, but not a bad price and fairly good quality.
