futons
are they comfortable enough to sleep on everynight
I love futons because they allow others a nice bed to sleep over in but the arms and legs are either made of wood or metal and are hard. Also you can dress a futon up as much as you want but it will never look as nice as a couch. I would go for a futon if you're looking for something cheap and economic but if you can afford a couch then go for that.

sofas
Should you buy sofas from charity shops? I saw some sofas in local charity shops, but my friends don't like the idea of buying. It seems too cheap.
What about you?
Well, i wouldnt, its not about the prices, its about who & what has been on the sofa, you just dont know! For example, if you had a bad alerigic reaction to dog hair, and say a dalmation had been lounging on it well, thats trigered your alergies, BUT you culd buy it take it home, remove the covers and wash them, but its up to you.
Personaly i would'nt but like i said, its up to you.
Hope this helps and good luck in you sofa hunting!

sofa furniture
We are moving and we have a 3 seater sofa. Can I use the u-haul furniture dolly to move it ? My plan is to put one side on the dolly and lift the other side and push. Did someone try that or any other suggestions ? No stairs in start or destination .
The last answer made me update this question. Do we use a Utility Dolly (the one used for Refrigerator etc) instead of Furniture Dolly
I did. i just bought a ratchet strap at home depot or lowes and put a piece of cardboard between the dolly and the couch so it wouldnt stress or tear, then put it up lengthwise, and rested the arm of the couch on the foot of the dolly and ran the strap around the middle of the couch and through the back of the dolly, cinched it, and wheeled her up three flights of stairs solo.took a bit of sweat, but if you dont have friends (new to the area) then theres really no other choice. and by the way, most dollies are rated for over 200 lbs, if you have a couch that weighs more than that, ( and ive never seen one that does) than you need help anyways.

black futon
I have a full-sized futon, I want to paint it black to match the rest of the living room furniture set. I’m not sure how to do this right, am I supposed to sand the sealant off and paint it black and coat it with some kind of paint sealant?
You can buy no-sand primer in a spray can. Top with black enamel spray paint. Should not need to seal it. The trick to getting even coats is the spray.
