I have a silver framed futon with a black mattres. I have dressers that are white, and have decorations that are black and white. What would be a nice relaxing color to use!
either a cranberry, deep sage green, cocoa brown or terra cotta, all rich relaxing beautiful colors.
the studio has an ugly dark brown carpet and white walls and I can't change that. its so small that i can ony fit a futon and maybe a shelf for books and a tv.
i want to get a black futon and black shelf…i want my color scheme to be black, deep red (not bright), and maybe some dark green, olive or gray in there, i don't know. Heres' what i have planned- please help me..
i was thinking of getting a nice deep red throw blanket i saw to accent the futon, this is what i need help on:
1) what color area rug should i get, soemthing to take away from the ugly brown carpeting and to match my theme.
2) should i get little arm pillows and what color?
3) and should i get curtains- and also what color?
i'm good at cleaning, but no so much at decoarting– i tend to be too matchy-matchy and sometimes it looks tacky.

The apartment I'm moving into has sort of ivory/ buttery pale yellow walls with wide white baseboards. My futon is black, and I have a white shelf my TV is on and a glass and silver desk. I also have a brown patterned recliner. Can I use the white, black and glass with the walls the color they are and then throw in some brighter colors like hot pink, green, yellow? I'm thinking I should cover the brown chair as it doesn't match the color scheme of the rest of the room. Any ideas?
1] concentrate on three colors for each room. One should be 60% of room, second should be 30%, and third should be 10%.
2] you already have butter yellow, plus a black sofa; and the brown recliner.
3] definitely cover the recliner or the sofa, so you can use black [ or brown - not both! ]
4] you could use hot pink, lime green, and lemon yellow for pillows, small ornaments, candles, flowerpot/planter
5] try to make the colors in apartment 'flow' from room to room, in 'public' areas.
a] if you like yellow, green, and pink; use a different proportion of same color for kitchen [ say 60% green, 30% pink, and 10% yellow. ]
b] or use one color from LR in kitchen [ say green ] and add one new shade [ blue ]
c] also suggest framing all art work [ paintings, photos, posters ] in similar color and material - brass/chrome, oak/walnut, colored enamel

i’m only 15 but ima try and save up the money to buy it might have to sell my ipod touch =’[ but i have a large room and one chair wont cut it and my bunk bed it too far from the tv for me to use that as a seat witch worked out fine when i had a smaller room ima try and see if i can save the money over the next 3 months and beg my dd to buy a 32 hd and i’ll have my own lil gaming spot. but back to the futon just give me your input PLZ IF YOU CAN LIST SITES WITH FREE SHIPPING EBAYS WORKS TOO TYVM

I bought futon frame (used) and didn't come with directions so right now all the pieces are in the middle of my livingroom floor and driving me crazy…. It is a black metal frame
Look for a manufacturer label and see if you can google for the manufacturer.
you need to put the man frame together first before you place the bed portion in but loose enough to allow the hinge pin to slip into the sliding channel.
Go to a furniture store.. find a similar model and see if one of the salesmen can get you a copy of the instructions
