How do I stop my futon mattress from slipping?

When my futon mattress is in the couch position it gradually slips off the frame. Nowadays futon frames have these brackets built into the frames to stop the slipping. Barring drilling brackets into the frame, what can I do? Thanks.

Put industrial strength velco on the mattress and the frame. Remove the mattress and apply firm pressure at least overnight - and consider throwing in a couple whip stitches to hold the velco to the mattress.
