Furniture Poll: What do you call the piece that most consider a Sofa?

I've heard it called a Sofa, Couch and also Davenport. Which made me curious to know if it may have originated in Davenport IA or if maybe there was just a furniture maker there that people often bought sofas from. So what do you call it?
